■Provision of Counseling Services in Foreign Languages |
|
At TIA, by cooperating with the City, and with many other organizations, we are making many efforts to create a multicultural society, by providing consultation to foreigners living in Toyota City, who are often conflicted with a wide variety of problems in many areas.
Further, with regards to Portuguese and Chinese languages, a counselor fluent in these languages is available at set times every week.
Counseling in Portuguese
Every Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Counseling in Chinese
Every Saturday, from 9 a.m. to Noon
Every Tuesday, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. |

■Translation Services |
|
1. Suitable Documents
The only documents that we can accept for translation are those documents, which must be submitted to public organizations such as the City Office and other official papers. We do not accept personal letters. Please show us the original documents (after examining it and making a copy, the original documents will be returned to the owner).
2. Number of days for translation
The usual number of days required for translation is 2 to 3 weeks. TIA will contact you when the work is finished (the time depends on each individual translator).
3. Fees
The fee is 3,000 yen for one A4-sized sheet of translated material. The fee must be paid at the time of submission of the document(s). No refunds will be given in case of cancellation. Your understanding is appreciated. In the case of a translation of two or more pages, please pay the additional translation fees when you come to pick up the completed translation.
4. Additional
Only the person him or herself may submit and receive the translations of documents. Please leave a contact number (telephone and address) with the TIA office staff. |

■Interpreting Services |
|
We provide interpreters in the following situations, for example: an occurrence of domestic violence, counseling by the relevant organizations in the case of foreigners hospitalized in critical condition, or when, in the course of daily living, a foreigner needs assistance with official procedures for matters relating to one’s humanity, human rights, social welfare, health preservation and medical treatment. |
